一、在粉尘环境中，对防爆电动葫芦有特殊的防护要求，防护要点如下：

(1)起重机上的电动机和主要电器的防护等级应相应提高，通常情况下葫芦式起重机用电动机及电器的防护等为IP44，根据粉尘程度的大小，应相应增强其密封性能，即防护(主要是防尘能力)等级成相应提高为IP54或lP64；

(1)电动机绕组及机壳上应埋设热敏电阻等温控装置，当温度超过一定界限时，断电停机加以保护或在电机上增设强冷措施(通常为在电机上增设一专用电风扇)。
